| Introduction | Richard Earl Bucklew is a seasoned aviator currently serving as an airline captain for one of the world's largest commercial airlines, where he flies Airbus A320s and A319s for a mix of international and domestic flights, averaging 70 flight hours per month. He is also on the waiting list for a school date that will enable him to fly Boeing 777s.
Having finished his degree in aviation flight technology from Central Missouri University in 1980, he has previously worked for four other commercial airlines and has also served as a private pilot. In addition, he worked as a flight engineer and taught at two aircraft flight schools. Prior to finishing his degree in aviation, he had been a pre-med student and was part of a naval reserve unit and before that a member of the Marine Corps. Mr. Bucklew is a member of the Airline Pilots Association and was an active participant in Pilots for Kids. |
