| Introduction | Originally from Brooklyn, New York, in the early 80’s my family moved to South Jersey, a suburb of Philadelphia Pa. It was at this time of my life where my love of food and food preparation began. At this time, there were so many new restaurants in Philadelphia gracing the scene. My favorite places were the restaurants that provided great home styled food, cafeteria settings. This paved the way for many other restaurants that we now see today. I later moved back to New York City where I continued my journey as an apprentice to a chef. Everything I know about cooking and food stemmed from that experience. Today, after raising my three children, my career change has taken a turn to become a Technical/ healthcare recruiter. I still love cooking, looking through magazines or watching the Food Network. Then recreate the dishes at home with my own spin. Living in New York City you have your pick of healthy eating places. Today,with the realities of COVID19 we are all doing more home cooking.
