| Introduction | Having completed my SIXTH vagabond trip through the "Southern Cone" countries of South America last month, I confess to being an incurable romantic with a penchant for escaping from the usual to take in whatever comes along the way. Since my first venture into South America in 2002, I have come to love the people, the landscapes, and the cultures of Chile and Argentina almost like a second home. |

| Favorite music | Argentine folk music and tango; Mexican mariachi and ranchera; American blues, jazz, folk and bluegrass; the classics of Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky (etc); plus rock music by The Yardbirds, The Band, Annie Lennox and John Lennon. Of course there are plenty more...remember, I used to run a record shop in the old days! |
