| Introduction | Petra Vergunst is an Aberdeen-based freelance community artist who works in the mediums of music and poetry. Drawing on her background in rural development and urban regeneration and her music composition studies with the Open College of the Arts, she carries out community arts projects for councils, national organisations and museums in which she uses music and poetry to raise issues and intervene in communities.
