| Introduction | All the major religions mention stewardship. I am a Christian, I feel that we need to leave the world in a fit state for our children and all the generations to come. With oil expected to disappear within 16-30 years, if we do not replace it with renewable energy or start working remotely we could have 57% less energy. We are expected to have about 50% of the food we would have now due to less refrigerated transport and a population of 11 billion. We have almost filled the Earth and so incentives for birth control have become necessary. This needs control at the family level, the community level and the world level. The only organisations capable of establishing this are the major religions. Currently our population is out of control and it is devastating the world. Parts of Africa are running out of water. Game animals such as rhinos and giraffe are vanishing from the face of the earth. South America is loosing huge areas of rainforest every day. Canada's trees are quite literally being flushed down the pan. There are no more coral reefs any where near Singapore. Care for this world , it is the only one we have. |
