| Introduction | I grew up in a small town called Barstow, CA. Like most other small town kids, I hated it. My dream was always to leave there. Growing up, my mother tended to have a lot of maps from places around the world hanging up in our house. I don't really know why, since she's never owned a passport. Maybe it was her dream to go around the world? Maybe that dream could only be lived through on maps because she accidentally got pregnant with me when she was 19 years old? Anyway, having the maps around made me very curious about what was outside of my tiny town and as soon as I turned 18, I was out the door. I joined the Navy after high school in hopes of doing things and seeing things I never have before. I did just that. My first time leaving North America was to travel through Germany and Kyrgyzstan to get to Afghanistan, where I would live for a year. How different things were. Now, I'm 39 years old. After spending 10 years in Oahu, Hawaii, I moved to Las Vegas, NV. I've managed to see 41 countries so far, but I'm always looking for ways to see more. |
| Interests | I love sports, especially volleyball. I enjoy movies and music as much as the next person. I like to travel and meet all kinds of people from different cultures and backgrounds. I'm interested in people, mostly how they think and why they do the things they do. |
When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?
Nope. I'm never too worried about drowning. I was in the Navy for a little over 6 years.
