| Introduction | Have been writing poetry, short stories, satire, research based articles etc since 1970-71. In addition to this 'have been working towards preservation, promotion and dissemination of art and culture of Bastar region. 10 books have been published so far and 5 books on Bastar culture and oral tradition are shortly coming out from C.G.R.H.G.Akademi, Raipur; Rajkamal Prakashan, New Delhi and Bharatiya Jnanpith, New Delhi. Have made 5 short animation films (based on the folktales of Bastar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Madhyapradesh) in Halbi (the local language of Bastar)with the 'West Highland Animation' of Scotland. A documentary film is made by the South-Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur (Maharashtra)based on my research based book "Dhankul Geet". Dr. Uma Ram & K.S.Ram have written a book entiltled "Folk songs, ballads and oral epics of Bastar" which is basically based on my research based books. I am Presently working on various books based on Bastar's local life and culture. |
