| Introduction | This site started when my husband and I wanted to sell a couple of kayaks. We were frustrated by the other larger websites with auction models or long lists of items to sift through. We knew there had to be a better way for people to buy, sell and trade on a more local level. We wanted a small Sunfish sailboat and thought-wouldn't it be great if we could find someone to trade with? Our site wasn't up at the time so we sold the kayaks and no Sunfish but the experience led us to the great experience of putting this site together. In the past I've been an advocate for children with special needs, a retail shop owner, landlord and residential and commercial real estate broker. Although I have enjoyed all of my various careers this is by far the most fun. In these tough economic times, we hope our members will find the goods and services they need to either buy or sell through creative new relationships and that in doing so they will foster the well being of their own communities. I am an entrepreneur at heart and having the time of my life doing this. I hope you will too! |
