IntroductionEnsō are beautiful calligraphic circular shapes made by Zen Buddhists as an excercise in meditation. Repetition is emphasized. Right angle beadweaving is a series of myriad loops on loops. -- Hence the name for my line - meditative in the making, exquisitely simple in the finished view. I've studied nearly everything in art with the exception of jewelrymaking, metalsmithing and fiber art. Go figure. My work is heavily influenced by minimalist and contemporary modernist sculpture, painting, music and media.
