Introduction	I am a new traveler to South Korea and 'rookie' English instructor at a Hagwon (a for-profit private academy that often supplements other schooling) in Gwangju. This blog is basically for cases where I want to recount experiences more elaborately than Facebook posts allow. Though I embarked on this path simply to travel abroad on the cheap, I hope that my background in sociological theory and research will provide an interesting angle on my experiences.
