| Favorite Movies | To Kill a Mockingbird- absolutely no justification needed. I really enjoyed Tim Burton films until he ruined it by copying and pasting every idea he ever had under the title of "Alice in Wonderland", aint nothing wonderful about it. I really love A Very Long Engagement, Casablanca, High Society, Anchorman, 500 Days of Summer, Brick, 12 Angry Men, Amelie, The Orphanage, Pans Labrinyth, The Labrinyth (Bowie you genius you...) Shawshank Redemption, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Fightclub, Citizen Kane, Taxi Driver (even if it makes me shudder a little), American History X. I love Hitchcock but he sometimes freaks me out, silent films like The Lodger is also great, the crowd, he married his secretary.. ooooh THE SECRETARY.. brilliant and yet completely misunderstood. It's like everything else- if I feel like smiling then a comedy is great- if I want you dead I'll watch something where Jim Carrey is being a douche. God I hate him. And Shia LeBeouf, he should just not exist. |
| Favorite Music | Music has to comply with my mood- I am demanding that way... Florence and the Machine, KATE NASH (her words make me happy), Regina Spektor- when she sings Samson I like to fall asleep to it. Sia Furler, Imogen Heap and Nina Simone are also wonderful in that respect. I like listening to radiohead, snow patrol, soko, I have all of Fall out boy's albums, I like Heathers (for now), I listen to Gorillaz, Muse, SINATRA.... I should have been around when the Rat Pack were the coolest thing in the world.... 1950's flapper- that's what the mother thinks. I am also a gay man and listen to alot of musicals from oklahoma to Sweeny Todd and all the tack in between. But the best music can be found on television, the most random advertisement will hold the best song- then you just trawl youtube for forty hours and you finally find the noise that you liked so much. Then you overplay it and learn to hate it. My iPod has an identity crisis of sorts... |
| Favorite Books | I left this section until the end; Harper Lee, Shakespeare, JK Rowling, Salinger, Orwell, Austen, Steinbeck, Tolkien, The Bronte sisters, William Golding, Brainbridge, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott, Joseph Heller, CS Lewis, Charles Dickens... I read all these people and lots more- reading is my thing, some people like to breathe, eat or sleep.... I'm more suited to this though. |
