| Introduction | I'm a happily married “at home” dad with two sons, ages 7 and 5. Prior to this, I worked as a spacecraft engineer for NASA/JPL and the Air Force space program. When I wasn't doing "rocket science", I studied and performed improvisational and sketch comedy. And I wrote a one-person show, “Sometimes It Does Take a Rocket Scientist”, which is a hilarious look at my own mortality. I enjoy civics and science. I am fascinated with measuring and tracking data, and adjusting my caloric intake in a mysterious dance with his bathroom scale. I am learning how to play several new instruments and reading a dozen different books. I am constantly busy. I do miss working in space. But I love being a dad and husband, and being active in my community, supporting my family, and my causes. And I love exploring these worlds, and writing about them. |
