Introduction | First, I am a Mother and a Grandmother. My two daughters Jeanne and Stephanie work with me at Blue Springs Home. I am a shop proprietor and lover of art which for me is life. My Store, Blue Springs Home, is my creative and social outlet. It is here that I'm able to express my tastes and opinions on style, art, decorating, design, social concerns, business and life. As an independent woman in business, I work to support other strong and talented women--Artists, Manufacturers, Vendors, Employees, Business Associates and the wonderful customers. I am very proud to be a business woman and hope to inspire others to succeed. As a child of Southern Alabama Culture, I hope to offer a level of Southern Hospitality to those I am in contact with on a day to day basis and I think I do. I'm also an environmentalist and lover of nature. I support the naturalists viewpoint and believe that an environmentally sustainable lifestyle is the only responsible way to conduct oneself. |
Interests | ALWAYS ANTIQUES! Anything old and wonderful fascinates me. I especially have an interest in Native American weavings and culture. GARDENING. I come from a rural Alabama background, so I grew up with farming and nature. FABRICS - I started collecting antique quilts when I was a teenager. I loved to study the different fabrics and techniques. These anonymous women artists amazed me. |
