| Introduction | Mildred Parmley (my mother) was a collector of fine antiques for most of her adult life. She had a driving desire to research every piece that she found to reveal the true stories behind her antiques. This was her joy in life and she had an infectious way of drawing you in on her searches upon her lastest treasure of a find. She always wanted her children to carry-on with her work. I guess I caught the bug from her. She really loved it when the internet came along to assist in her work. I would work along beside her until she became quite a good internet researcher on her own. Mildred was a very active member of the Questers Group in Fallbrook, CA for many years. She and her friends really loved to get togehter and go through their antique finds each month. Mildred was known to be the "Researcher" of the group. All the ladies could rely on her to dig out the unkown information on their pieces. Over the years, Mildred had compiled many volumes of hand-written information and collected several racks of books on many different types of antiques. This blog is my way of carrying on her work of sharing the antique information with you, the antique lovers. And in that, she lives on.... |
