Introduction I am a widowed grandmother, and I work for an international educational institution. I studied hard to be a Mechanical Engineer (yes, I loved Physics, statics & dynamics, even multi-varible Calc), but wound up working with computers. I've been working in High Tech so long, I know what a punch card is and how to make one. I can berate programmers from a couple of thousand miles, away. I've got shoes older than most techies I work with, now . I was a Navy wife for over 10 years in the 70's, married to a nuclear submariner. Did I mention my 3 beautiful granddaughters (a 6th grader, and twin 2nd graders). I bleed burnt orange for UT baseball! and have promised to support Colt McCoy this season, while keeping my opinions of Mac Brown to myself.
Interests Time to update this. I'm very involved in Texas and Federal elections, right now. Also, active with VetsForFreedom, and troop support. I had to get new NAVY bumper stickers for the NEON --- entirely too many Marines and Army Dudes on the list. I have FRB's sitting in every nook and crannie of the house. Grandkids, Granddaughters, Grandkids. Oh yeah, grandkids! UT Baseball. Then there is reading (and audio books), [biographies/mysteries/foreign relations/political/science fiction] books/newspapes/magazines (and of course all their assorted web sites).
Favorite Movies Field of Dreams, Birds, The Good Shepherd, To Hell and Back (Audie Murphy), All Harry Potter, the Alamo (John Wayne), 2001 A Space Odyssey, all the Star War Movies, the Spy Who Came in from the Cold, Shenandoah
Favorite Music Depends on my mood, Country (Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, Ricky Trevino, Pat Green, and of course Willie are the CD's in the car --- the I-Pod overflows), New Orleans Jazz, Memphis Jazz, Blue Grass, Rock and Roll
Favorite Books Okay, right now, I'm reading a lot of Nonfiction boots on the ground chronicles, Terrorist History, Looming Tower, The Osama bin Laden I Know, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Series, Harry Potter, Barbara Bush's Biography, Harry Truman's Biography (David McCullough), Riders of the Purple Sage (okay any Zane Grey), any Jane Austen book, any Sherlock Holmes, any Agatha Christie, Fredrick Forsyth, John Grisham, Ryan Cornelius, John le Carre, Ian Fleming, Isaac Isamov, the Big Wide Mouthed Frog, NO! NO! David

You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?

Next door, I live next to a heavy equipment yard -- he has some major dirt diggers
