| Introduction | A political scientist and academic based in Taipei, Taiwan. I received my PhD in political science from the University of Oklahoma (OU) and the two Masters degrees from OU's College of International Studies and Department of Political Science. I am also a regular commentator on international media outlets.My latest work on Taiwan’s social movement was published in Taiwan’s Social Movements under Ma Ying-jeou: From the Wild Strawberries to the Sunflowers (Rouledge, 2017) and Cities Unsilenced: Urban Resistance and Public Space in the Age of Shrinking Democracy (Rouledge, 2017).
