Introduction | We are the DeYoung family - Dave, Kristin, Kenya, and our dog Santa. We have spent the past 3 years living and serving in the Dominican Republic until we came home to the states recently on medical emergency when my daughter Kenya was born. We are very thankful that she is healthy now and that so many people have reached out to help our family. Though we are not able to serve abroad anymore, we are serving how we can from Michigan to help girls and women who are survivors of both human trafficking and birth injuries as part of the Half the Sky Movement. This blog is a place where we post family updates, our letters to Kenya, random thoughts and photos, support for fellow birth trauma survivors and resources for those interested in serving girls and women alongside us. Please visit our etsy shop too where we raise funds for Half the Sky movement. http://www.etsy.com/shop/ShopforChange |
