Introduction	I followed my heart to San Francisco in 2005 to pursue my passion for wine. In finance by profession, I tried to make sense of wine by numbers: volume yielded, precipitation levels, temperatures, harvest date, vineyard's latitude, depth of clay/ granite/other earth, distance from a body of water, and how this affected acidity, sugar and alcohol and ultimately, how this influenced wine ratings, prices and how good it was. This formula became overly complex and never worked quite right! Through tastings in California and France, I've realized that there's just so much to wine that volumes of literature and even a most intricate formula would not be able to capture it all! Wine is complex, yet simple. It shows character but remains mysterious. Wine is always evolving. I started this blog to capture glimpses - what a wine made me think and feel, and see if you experience the same or something different. Wine is a significant part of my life. I still have my career in finance at a game company and believe it or not, there is a bridge; not the numbers, but my analytical side, and yes, I think both wine and technology are sexy.
