| Introduction | I am a university researcher at the Department of Culture, Media and Creative Industries, Kings College, London. Previously I've worked at the London College of Fashion and University of Essex. I've authored or edited several academic books on fashion (my latest, 'The Aesthetic Economy of Fashion', was published by Polity in 2009)and am currently co-editing a book (with my friend and colleague, Elizabeth Wissinger) on fashion modelling for Berg 'Fashioning Models' due out in 2012.I sometimes write for fashion exhibitions and the press. I'm also mum to two girls, Bella who is eight and a half, and Rosa who is a precocious three. |
