| Interests | Love to eat, travel and watch too much TV. ove comedies and real detective/ murder shows (No CSI or make-believe cop stuff). Seinfeld is still my fave. Still enjoy Arrested Development. ADORE Dominick Dunne and his society gossips. Can't wait for the next Mad Man to start again. Food network shows and most shows on home decor and projects. Love Barefoot Countessa, Giada de Laurentis and LOL, Semi-homemade though I think her boobs are fake, kinda like her food - all trumped up. New fave is Lucinda Scala Quinn - simply good. For interiors -- no one beats the Canadians; Candice Olson from Divine Design and Scott from Income Property. Where functions and forms are brought together so well. They make your dream some true. Not their designs or ego. On this side of the shore is Antonio Treatment - he rocks! Not into the latest shows; Lipstick Jungle, Dirty, Sexy Money, Hills, Gossip Girls etc. Sigh... must be getting too old for these glitzy nonsense |
| Favorite Movies | Now that I am here in LA, "Crash" resonates with me. Startling realistic movie about life in LA without over-the-top Hollywood injection or tired cliches. Many poignant moments make you ponder the grey areas in life; who is a good person? Can a leopard change its spots? Can you trust a cop? Can you continue to love a man who did not defend your modesty? Can you trust a trespasser to save your life? On the lighter side, NOW I find Steve Martin's LA Story hysterical -- driving thru someone's lawn and down a staireway to beat LA traffic, not to mention the highway shooting. It's REAL! With police sirens as your background music. LOL An all-time fan of Alfred Hitchcock and his classics. Love foreign and independent films. Enjoy animation; still watch Mary Poppins, Gromet & Wallace (fave animation), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Wizard of Oz. Love classics like Sound of Music, Breakfast at Tiffany's and all the Godfather's sequels. Love Kim Basinger in LA Confidential. She's all woman; classy and sultry... |
| Favorite Music | I love 80s -- all the punk and new wave. Now I like Green Day, Cold Play, Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne and of course Fergie. Another few male singers that I like John Legend. Guess I like men sinigng soft ballads. |
| Favorite Books | To Kill a Mockingbird - unbelievably well told from a child's perspective of the devastation of racism in a small, conservative town. Vulnerability gives rise to bigotry which results in human tragedy. The heartwarming ending gives hope to humanity and hits home that heroism exists, even in the darkest corner. |
