| Introduction | I am a moderately liberal conservative but sometimes a moderately conservative liberal. I adhere to the Baptist expression of the Christian faith. Ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister. Now am affiliated with American Baptist Churches, USA; Alliance of Baptists; Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America; Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists. I am also a proud Military Veteran (Vietnam Era), served in Adjutant General's Corps, US Army, was honorably discharged with rank of Captain. Educated at University of Georgia (Bachelor of Arts; majored in English); Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity with Languages, Master of Theology with major in Biblical Studies, primarily Hebrew Scriptures) during the period that SEBTS was a respected academic institution and before it was taken over by fundamentalists and became the two-bit bible college that it is now. Adjunct faculty member, East Carolina University. Taught for ECU at Johnston Community College, Smithfield, NC 1985-1995.
