| Favorite Books | I'm a BIG reader...so way too many to mention, but one you're probably unaware of, "We didn't have much, but we sure had plenty." It's a compilation of interviews with women given to me by my Mother-In-Law. Probably way, way out of print, but if you can ever find it, grab it and hold on with all your might. It's brilliant and you will never forget it. I've read far too many books to list all my favorites because the list is very long, but two that come to mind instantly (so apparently very important)are Uncle Tom's Cabin and All Creatures Great and Small. And then of course there's Catcher In The Rye, and any thing by Thoreau, Thurber, Jane Austin and Edith Wharton. After consuming every single novel, short story, essay, etc., written by Wharton, I was so devastated she was dead! I wanted to dig her up, shake her back to life and say "Come on honey, you have one more good story in you...here's a pen." |
