| Introduction | After studying International Affairs at Portland State University, I became involved with a not-for-profit organization with the mission of creating a cultural bridge between the US and Cuba. As a volunteer, I worked in fundraising, event coordination, and outreach, eventually leading culturally-immersive trips to Cuba full time. In 2015 the organization decided that with the opening of diplomatic relations, their function was no longer as important, and they closed their doors. By then I had developed a passion for this, and I saw the opportunity to establish my own not-for-profit with a similar mission. I love what I do. As the majority of my tours are from November - July, I unwind in the summer months in the Pacific NW, hiking and playing soccer with my 10-year-old nephew. |
