Introduction Can an everyday working mom, who moonlights as a singer-songwriter, post an original song every weekday? That's my challenge for 2012. I have notebooks full of lyrics and handheld recorders full of song ideas. I've sung with bands around raising kids, earning degrees, working full time, and devoting hours to my favorite causes. I've recorded a CD featuring my songs and artwork in collaboration with my talented kids and their acclaimed musician friends (www.dukkhasnemesis.com). I’m still working full time, helping the kids pay off college loans, spending time with them when they can, and trying to keep the homefront mold-mitigated, mice-free, and passably clean. So, what’s missing? I LOVE music, especially old jazz and blues. I LOVE singing and writing original songs. And I LOVE putting visuals with music, be it photos, my childrens’ art, or my own drawings. And, I HATE being left behind, so I've decided to embrace social media. It all adds up to: “EveryDayChanteuse”, a song every weekday, recorded “on the fly”, usually with visual but no musical accompaniment. I’m pulling late nights moonlighting on this. But women prove every day that they CAN “do it all”. Why not do your passion?
