| Introduction | I decided to start this blog as I love to cook & over the past few years I have tried out so many different dishes that Im constantly being asked by friends and family for recipes. I'm a self taught home chef and have never worked in a professional kitchen. I live with my husband, Diarmuid, 3 boys Jack 9, Tiarnán 6,Fionn 4 and Millie 20mths. My Dad also eats with us and during the holidays we have a very special man called Nicholas who comes to stay (Nick has Cerebral Palsy and my parents had fostered him as a child). A busy household with many different nutritional needs, likes and dislikes. I qualified as a nurse at St.James's. Following that I completed a Bachelor of Nursing Degree at Trinity. After the birth of my 3rd son I decided to start cookery classes for children in my kitchen. The classes were very busy but they were a great success. Since January 2011 I write a column for the Westmeath Independent.This May I was delighted to start writing for Irish Magazine Easy Parenting. When my kids are older I hope to work in the food business but until then I will keep busy with this blog! All photographs are styled and taken by me, unless otherwise stated. |
