| Introduction | This sabha was started in the year 1982. All the leading musicians have given their program in our sabha. On date we have more than 300 members including some foreigners. We are proud to inform that His Excellency, Dr.Abdul Kalam the then President of India, recognizing our sahba's services to carnatic music, gave us a special grant on 5th April 2005.We are giving atleast one program every month without fail. So far we have given 316 programs which includes vocal and instrumental. We also celebrate Members' day in the month of November every year, where we give stage to our members as well as their wards with a view to bring out their talents. We are happy that this members' day has yielded very good results. More and more youngsters are coming forward. We also conduct competition (Open to all) in carnatic music in order to promote carnatic music. we give substantial prize to the winners. we celebrated silver jubilee in Sept 2006 |
