| Introduction | Hello! My name is Mrs. Simcox and I'm a teacher who works for a public charter school in San Diego County. I've been teaching elementary school for a little over eight years. I taught grades two and four for four years and then moved over to my current job. My job is very different since I work with students who are home-schooled. Instead of seeing my students altogether every day in a classroom, I meet with them and their parents individually. I also teach a weekly science class for a group of the home-schooled students in my area. While I really love my job, I do miss being in the classroom so I really enjoy being able to teach the class. One of my goals has always been to complete my Masters degree in teaching. I'm currently in my final class for this degree so I'm proud of myself for following through and finishing this up! My other goals include working on my National Board Certification which would allow me to teach in any state in the United States. I'm also interested in working on a reading specialist teaching credential. |
