| Introduction | I am just about to graduate from university with a BA (hons) in Fashion Retail Management at Birmingham City University. It has been quite a journey where I have made the best of friends, learnt a lot and challenged myself to the full. Before coming to university I completed a Diploma in Art Foundation where I specialised in Fashion Design. I didn’t however get along with my sewing machine very well after creating two very stressful collections I decided I wanted to head towards the business side of fashion!! Going to University was a massive step for me..... I am the country bumkin who keeps chickens and lives near farms..... I never stayed away from home, NOT even to go on holiday!! (I know, shocking!) SOO i decided to launch myself in the deep end and it was the best thing I have ever done and haven’t looked back. I have learnt so much about the fashion industry as well as personal skills such as confidence, independence and time management. Whatever the future holds for me I hope it will be as good as the journey I have just been on!!! |
