| Introduction | The goal of this blog is to provide teachers and school librarians with resources to help reluctant readers in 3rd to 6th grade engage with history. This is a key time in the development of reading habits and a great time to get children to enjoy reading. We have focused on the use of graphic novels, an accessible format which children associate with fun over function. This type of material especially appeals to young male readers, who make up a large percentage of reluctant readers. |
