Introduction I come from a long line of artists. My first lessons came from my grandmother before I was ten. It is from her that I learned to love expression through art. During my last two years of high school I decided that art was the career for me. I studied fine art at Asbury College in Wilmore Kentucky. I also decided, while there, to join the U.S. Army's Art Corp. It has existed since the first world war. It wasn't until I joined the army that I realized how hard it was to get into the art corp. In that time I was caught in the first wave of downsizing and found myself back in the civiiian world. After several years of trying to find my way I finally started trying to get my art work out there. I had some fits and starts but it wasn't until 2008 that I decided to try my hand at the "Writer and Illustrators of the Future" contest. Of the thousands of entrants I was one of the 12 winners of the 25th issue to have my artwork published. Since then I have moved to Rochester N.Y. In the past year I have been taking my time to get to know the artistic community here and to organize my plan of attack for my work here and world wide
