| Introduction | As the watering hole dries up, the animals start looking at one another differently.” This old African proverb aptly describes the landscape for many schools in our nation. Growing intolerance for higher taxes and increasing estrangement between schools and communities are causing the watering hole for our public schools to dry up. As a result, the stakeholders in our school districts are starting to look at one another differently. The Santa Rita Collaborative helps superintendents safely navigate this unstable landscape by engaging citizens in processes that address important challenges and opportunities facing their schools and communities. |
