| Introduction | I am a Kentucky educator and writer who is passionate about pursuing outdoor adventure. Working as a writer in many forums, I previously worked five years as a newspaper journalist, published and produced multiple plays and recently finished my first full-length memoir. Every spare second I have is spent outside, with my favorite destination being the Red River Gorge. I have climbed 14ers in the western mountains, backpacked the Grand Canyon, competed in the 30-hour Adventure Racing National Championship, biked Moab's Slick Rock Trail and criss-crossed the country multiple times in the meantime. Besides my family and my trusty dog, Ranger, the only other thing out there vying for my affection is my Taylor acoustic guitar. See you out there. |
