| Introduction | Joseph Nguyen was born in Denver to a pair of Vietnamese refugees in 1983. As the youngest of 13 children, it was difficult for him to stand apart from his older siblings. No matter how well he did in school or athletics, comparisons would be made. When he reached college, it took him a couple different tries before finding his niche. He started as an art major at CU-Boulder. After a year he transfered to Metro State, where he majored in computer science for three years. Realizing he had no ambition staring at a computer and looking at lines of code for a living, he changed to journalism - much to his family's dismay. |
