Introduction I'm C.Z., and my business A Little Ol'Factory (est. 1999), is one of the first women-owned green essential oils and body care businesses on the net. Check back here for yummy organic savory and sweet recipes - I'm a kitchen maven! I have two great sons, and we all live the life -- garden, home cooking, sweet-smelling, organic and natural. A gal from New York City, now enjoying the rural homesteading life, in a century old log cabin, on 4 acres, 7200 feet in the Colorado forest, couldn't ask for a better life! We're all so fortunate to live in a time when we realize the importance of living as close to the Earth as possible, and that we have the ability to find and use the beautiful goodies of this Planet. My Little Olfactory is a small piece of this scentual world, and this blog is where I'll share my thoughts and recipes and fragrant and pampering goodies with you.
Interests In 1999, after working many years in the herbal and natural products industry, I decided to provide "a little olfactory" (I always like a good pun and good humor) bliss to folks interested in pure essential oils, and combine that with my love of soapmaking. My soaps and toiletries are made with organic bases whenever possible, *always* with best quality essential oils, and everybody loves the silken, luxurious feel of high-quality soaps and lotions, hair care products, etc. I've traveled to the rose fields of Isparta, Turkey to observe the rose harvest and forge relationships with the distillers there. Over the years I've consistently raised the bar for myself by sourcing only the best, finding the newest and most exotic aromatics, and selling them to my customers at a fair price. I even cook with my essential oils, since I know they're of the highest, purest quality.
