| Introduction | In 1974 we bought Action Recruitment because it had a couple of telephone lines. It may seem odd but at that time there was a waiting time of up to 12 months for a phone line. The Action Recruitment we bought handled mostly office jobs and the phone numbers has previously belonged to a matchmaker. This made for some entertaining phone calls in the early days. Action Recruitment were the first hospitality specialists and now we regularly deal with the children of our first clients and candidates. Recruitment is not an exact science but it does require a lot of empathy and an eye to the benefits for both parties. As our work environment has become more complicated with the arrival of more and more employment legislation and the European directives, it's worth remembering that you should do to others as you would be done by. |
