Introduction	My name is Mel and I'm from Louisiana. I am married, I have two sons - both active military, and I have three grandchildren. What I love most of all is spending time with family! Since both of our sons are in the military, we cherish the times we can all be together. When we are together, we cook, bake, work in the garden, and do crafts. For the guys, it's all about hunting and fishing... We try to keep life simple so we can enjoy all that has been given to us. I hope you enjoy reading about the food and traditions we have as Cajuns!
Interests	Spending time with my family, gardening, baking, cooking, reading, interior decorating.
Favorite movies	Romantic comedies, some action, drama. Can't watch horror though!
Favorite music	Anything except heavy metal- it's not relaxing to me!
Favorite books	Anything inspirational like the Chicken Soup for the Soul Books, Joel Osteen- I love his positive attitude, and Joyce Meyers-She makes me laugh
