| Introduction | Hi...I am a young at heart (most probably in denial!) mature female who enjoys all the fun things in life but like many people in my age group, we have had our wings clipped by the GFC (temporarily, I hope), so whilst I still want to have fun, travel etc, I realise that these activities will have to be approached from a slightly different angle....budget & savings have suddenly become even more important, so I hope to share...& hear from others...tips & experiences of doing all those things we love but at a reduced cost. We have travelled fairly extensively over the past few years...France,Switzerland, USA, Hong Kong, Singapore,Cook Islands, Hawaii, NZ, New Caledonia, Canada,Lithuania,Italy, ..but often concentrating on small areas...for instance, 5 weeks in Brooklyn, New York. Born in NZ, spent the last 22 years in Australia, married with 2 sons & a small dog! My background, growing up on a farm, has mainly been in the fashion & beauty field with the occasional foray into office work & even 6 months on a building site!! Always loved travel & meeting people and always yearn to return to France...think I was French in a former life! |
