| Introduction | I am a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister & friend, and I am living with Stage IV/Metastatic breast cancer. I was diagnosed in 2009 not only with breast cancer, but with the only kind of of breast cancer that kills. Almost five years later, I am defeating the odds! But please don't misunderstand, I am not a breast cancer survivor, I am a Stage IV Warrior! I will be in treatment for the rest of my life and every three months I will be injected with poison and scanned from head to toe to monitor the disease. I will anxiously await the results and pray that I hear the three words which every person with advanced cancer longs to hear, NO EVIDENCE of DISEASE! Sadly most will never hear those words. |
