Introduction Louis H. Campbell, (Ph.D. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota) has an extraordinary career. He has started three theatre programs at institutions of higher education, served as head of departments for 36 years, engaged in administrative and management consulting in theatres worldwide, and has directed live classical theatre, opera, physical theatre, dance. He has also directed and acted in both film and television for over 40 years. Dr. Lou’s expertise has assisted in the design and construction of well over 100 theatres, churches and convention centers worldwide. Mort notable cites are the Casa de la Cultura, Quito, Ecuador; Centro de Convenciones, Cartagena, Colombia; Teatro Alma Rosa, Barranquilla, Colombia; Ruth B. Eckerd Hall, Clearwater, Florida. nHe has consulted and taught master classes in such places as the Ancient University of the Middle East, Ankara, Turkey; Center for Drama and Film, Budapest, Hungary; Czech State Opera, Prague. He directed the first International Mime Institute & Festival in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1974, from which several texts are now available.
