| Introduction | Born 1969 in Yorkshire, United Kingdom. I made my Fell Running debut in 1980 at Skipton Fell Races in the under 12s race, I enjoyed the race so much I've been hooked ever since. As a junior runner I ran in the then professional open fell races throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland where I was quite successful with one of the highlights been the 1985 BOFRA under 17 champion. My Senior achievements have been 2 times winner of the Kendal Winter League (first aged 17). I was also a member of the winning Bingley Harriers team in the 1998 British Fell Running Relays Championships, and also in 1999 the first English person to win the Scottish Open Hill Race Championship. I have also competed in road, x-country and track races with success. Now as a veteran runner I have retuned to the fells where it all began to enjoy myself and compete in events and challenges that I so far have not done. |
