Introduction Hey! I'm Leslie - an elementary teacher on sabbatical who's making her way in a new state and making a new home with a new man, old cat, and fluffy dog. I found a guy who loves the things I do: home, family, cooking, design, friends and fun! We have 7 kids between us - 2 of his are married and 1 of mine has a wedding on the way. And, most fun of all, we're building a new house together! Join us for the ride.
Interests So many! Words, writing, reading, learning. Drawing, doodling, painting, collage. Word games, crosswords, sudoku, sewing. People, pets, plants and gardening.
Favorite Movies My Brilliant Career, In Bruges, Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School, The Very Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Unfinished Song, and Pitch Perfect.
Favorite Music I have pretty eclectic tastes: you play it, chances are I'll like it. I love Peter's iTunes collection, btw. It's one of the things that I loved about him early on.
Favorite Books Children's Books: A Cricket in Times Square, Stuart Little, Make Way for Ducklings, any Mo Willems book, and Skippyjon Jones. Adult Books: generally whatever I'm currently reading. I just finished Laura Hillenbrand's Unbroken, and I'm reading Tea Obrecht's The Tiger's Wife. I loved Imagine by Jonah Lehrer and may read that again next. On a very early date, Peter bought me "Music Over Manhattan" and read it to me!

Why does the color blue mean raspberry-flavored?

Because red means cherry or strawberry and yellow means lemon. As to the secondary colors, orange means orange, green means lime, and purple means grape. Blue was stuck! Who drinks blueberry juice or eats blueberry jell-o (I bet they do make that!)? Blue had nothing. Raspberries needed a color. They got matched up. Sometimes it works that way.
