| Introduction | During my life I have held a number of jobs, including teacher, speech-language pathologist, university professor, scientist, journalist, radio show host, and local pastor in the United Methodist Church. I am a wife (of 48 years), a mother of two, and a grandmother of 4. I grew up in the rural South of the 40s and 50s, and have lived in Louisiana, Texas, New York, Connecticut, Wyoming, Illinois, and Puerto Rico. My hobbies include history and genealogy. During my life, I have participated in revolutions in civil rights, women's rights, special education, medicine, genetics, and technology. |
