| Introduction | I am a working mother to a 6 year old babbler. I resumed work when my son was 3.5 months old, it was one of the toughest times because I was emotionally wanting both - spending time with him & getting back to my work. How did I balance it- I cut down on my working hours, travel etc. but even then, I can assure you it was incredibly challenging to get my mind off Ish, my son. I kissed my social life goodbye and spent weekends solely with him. I absolutely do not regret doing this! Infact, it worked for me, it made-up for the time I was away. Plus I was blessed to have a great support system my hubby,MIL,mom and very very understanding and patient friends. In this journey so far, I have learnt and unlearnt a lot.I love being mommyee to this mischievous little man because it energizes me and makes me want to become more evolved...I have never been more attuned, to my surroundings, my own thoughts,actions or relationships, than I am now. Thank god for mommyhood! |
