Introduction	I grew up in a typical republican family and after taking the political ideology test, my political beliefs were reassured with an astounding 81% republican mindset. My political experiences include running for treasurer of my high school class and social chair for my fraternity at the University of Texas. I am taking the class for not only the credit but to gain a better grasp on the current events that our government is undergoing. I received an eighty percent on the civics quiz rather than only 5 correct on the current events quiz which justifies my desire to keep up with what is happening amidst the country's political power.
