| Introduction | I am the product of two artists....a crazy mother who is a professional water colorist & collage artist. My crazy father was a leather-smith, jewelry artist & wood carver. Don't worry, they both know they are crazy... mother was the first in the Midwest to wear Go-Go boots, white rhinestone cats-eye glasses and wigs in the 1960s... she has had three husbands but that is another story. My dads favorite daily ensemble was a safari hat with leopard skin coat... yes, a typical Wisconsin family we were. Funny thing is, I have a brother and sister who are semi normal.. "rebels"... go figure ! My goal is to amuse you ... I would love to hear back from you on everyday funny things in our lives....from crazy parents...to adoring husbands..to wacko friends...& to all the other members of my world who take life a little too seriously...this is all for you ! | Interests | Flea markets, antique shows and shops, rummage sales, thrift stores, traveling to Europe..I am in love with Venice, Rome, London and of course Paris...having lived there a very short time. My passions also include antique bears and all their other friends such as mohair teddy dolls and bunnies...I have several blind and one eyed old bears ...lol. Hmmm, I am a collector or as my darling husband says a "hoarder"...me thinks he is an amusing gentleman this husband who has 8 tackle boxes. Ok, so I collect several things other than antique stuffed items...I love antique holiday ....antique patriotic- drums, toys, Uncle Sams, Lady Liberty, tin horns, ephemera, parade hats etc. My holiday collecting also includes Easter/Spring candy containers plus alot of antique Christmas- antique Santas, scrap & cotton batting ornaments, vintage glass dirigibles, hot air balloons, airplanes, Victorian ornaments. I adore antique candy containers...putz animals and houses, old chalkware figures, feather trees and I love vintage postcards & images of Victorian folk, toys, carnival moon photos, goofy adults and children ...oh my...this could go on forever...lol. Oh yes, I love hand-carved black forest bears and vintage buttons, vintage clothing, old jewelry, old hats and... and... and... TO BE CONTINUED.....MADAME must have lunch now ! |
| Favorite Movies | Love vintage movies from the silent movies up to the mid 1950s. Love the remakes from old books ie Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens etc. In current movies...love a good laugh and romantic films as well. |
