| Introduction | I am a lifelong painter and sculptor. My earliest memories are of my mother dragging me backwards from preschool, toward the waiting, still running, model T Ford sedan. I was 4 years old and yelling "NO!they will get my clay." They did. My folks left white butcher paper on the floor for me to draw on before I ever went to preschool. In later years, my father, an attorney and politician, tried to discourage me from drawing, saying that it caused poverty. But, I have done art most of my life with very few pauses. It was what I wanted to do and I got to do it. I am happy about that. |
