| Introduction | I am an art teacher who loves crafting, painting, ceramics, sewing and furniture design. I'd like to say that I found this passion on my own. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that this gift and passion runs in the family. My Grandfather was an upholsterer and my father is a carpenter and talented woodworker. As a child, I was always outside with him whether it was drawing around his workshop or helping out in the yard. Making things has always come naturally to me. It balances me. I will always create. This blog provides a place to chronicle my furniture and crafting adventures. I enjoy finding furniture with potential. It may need to be repurposed, reupholstered or restored, but with a little elbow grease and vision, each piece will become a well loved functional work of art. Ultimately, I would like to find homes for my work that will have as much love and appreciation for them as the love that has gone into each piece. |
