Introduction The presenter / producer of the programme is Richard also known as Rjn, Gypsy Jack and Richard John. I have broadcast something in the order of 3000 hours on various community radios in Australia.

Favorite Movies Why watch movies when the biggest, brightest visuals and most exciting scripts are in my brain? Besides which it reduces the time available for listening to folk music. Ok I do sometimes watch movies.
Favorite Music To all of the following I thank for many hours of pleasure and raison d'etre: - First and foremost are Allan Bell, Pete Rogers, Brian Osborne and Stuart Robinson of the "Taverners Folk Group" and their club in Blackpool, Lancashire. From the Australian scene came John Warner with some wonderful new ballads and making today's songs for tomorrow's heritage, Iain Campbell Smith for some amazing ballads waiting to be recognised and become tomorrow's heritage, Linda Campbell & John Gaydon particularly for keeping Victor Jara's Songs Alive, Cathy O'Sullivan, Alan & Thalia Musgrove for collecting and writing gobsmacking material, Iain MacLeod for his big box keeping Highland airs and tunes alive, Cloudstreet for resurrecting some old material so harmoniously, Wallis & Matilda for the poems of Banjo set to music, Keith McKenry MC Performer & Poet for opening my ears to the possibilities, Fay White for writing & singing about everyday VIP's like the SES worker and CFA boys & girls, John Dengate for being so jingoistic about his ancestry - and a great yarn spinner and poetry performer, Evan Mathieson for keeping Harry Robertson's songs alive, Jason & Chloe Roweth for sticking at it and now being at the front, John Hospodaryck for his great Australian-Baltic heritage songs, Lionel Long a much neglected singer. Harry Boardman for doing for Lancashire..., Ivan Rebroff not just a voice but a promoter of his ancestral folk music from Russia, Uilick O'Boyle and The Settlers for the ballads of the Snowy Mountain's Scheme, Margaret Walters, Rum - the Belgian Folk Group of the 1970's advancing the genre, Alan Stivell for Celtic brilliance from Brittany, Paul Robeson for singing the people's songs, Harry Belafonte for popularising them, Continued in the "Favourite Books Box"
