Introduction	I grew up in urban New Delhi,India. Went to fashion school and joined my father's export company that manufactures apparel for some of the best young fashion brands in the world. Mind you, the factory was compliant ,i.e. paid legal minimum wages to workers. But over time I came to hate what I love so much .Driving through worker slums to our factory every day drove the point home.I was part of a system that was the problem.Season after season of mass production at the cheapest possible price ensured these workers remained in dire poverty their whole lives. But was there a better way?After moving to the United States, I began my quest to find a way to start loving fashion again. The answer was 'fair trade', equitable distribution of benefits along the supply chain. This web journal documents my journey of starting a fair trade, organic label .A new business model that doesn’t drain the planet's resources and helps eliminate poverty. I am learning as I walk the path, I try to be honest and informative along the way, in the hope that other's trying to 'change their world' are touched or helped in some way by this story.
