Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?
This harkens back to my youth, shortly after the Revolution, when the new coinage, the penny, was brought by the tooth fairy to good boys and girls who had lost a tooth. The bad ones got wooden splinters, in honor of General Washington and the rag tag Incontinent Army.
